Areas of Expertise
Before joining the practice in 2014, Humna completed her training contract at a local high street firm following which she achieved a distinction for her LLM in intellectual property.
Humna has particular expertise in registered and unregistered design cases and experience in dealing with contentious issues in relation to infringement of trademarks, copyright, design rights, misuse confidential information and passing off, as well as defamation and malicious falsehood.
Humna has provided advice to a varied spectrum of clients ranging from those with an agricultural background to fashion houses.
She has represented both individuals and companies actioning litigation and defending actions in the Intellectual Property Enterprise Court and The High Court. Humna also has experience in advising clients in relation to Intellectual Property Office opposition, revocation and cancellation issues along with domain name disputes at ICANN and in line with the UDRP.
