26th October 2026
Manchester commercial law firm, Kuits Solicitors, has advised Cheshire-based ecommerce fulfilment specialist Core Fulfilment on the sale of a majority stake in the business to US third-party logistics provider Capacity LLC.
The transaction marks a significant milestone in Core Fulfilment’s growth journey and creates a transatlantic fulfilment platform serving consumer brands across both the UK and US.
Located in Crewe, Core Fulfilment has more than 15 years’ experience supporting ecommerce brands across sectors including personal care, household goods, fashion, health and beauty, fitness and pet products. Capacity LLC, headquartered in New Jersey, specialises in fulfilment services for beauty, fragrance and wellness brands.
The investment brings together Capacity’s technology, infrastructure and operational expertise with Core Fulfilment’s established UK operation, creating a single fulfilment partner operating across the UK and US. The combined business will enable consumer brands to expand internationally more efficiently, addressing increasing demand for faster delivery times and more cost-effective cross-border logistics solutions.
Under the terms of the transaction, Core Fulfilment will continue to operate from its existing UK locations under its current leadership team, ensuring continuity for customers and employees.
Kuits advised the shareholders of Core Fulfilment throughout the transaction, providing corporate legal support to the shareholders and management team.
Paul Burns, co-founder of Core Fulfilment, said: “This transaction represents an exciting new chapter for Core Fulfilment. Capacity shares our ambition for growth and customer service excellence, and this partnership provides access to additional technology, engineering expertise and operational scale. We are grateful to the Kuits team for their guidance and support throughout the process.”
Kate Gledhill, Partner at Kuits, commented: “Core Fulfilment has established itself as a leading player within the ecommerce fulfilment sector and has built an impressive reputation for delivering exceptional service to its customers. Capacity is an excellent strategic partner and this transaction creates exciting opportunities for both businesses. We are proud to have supported the shareholders throughout the process and to have played a role in helping them achieve their objectives.”
Hannah James, Corporate Solicitor at Kuits, added: “Transactions of this nature rely on strong collaboration between all parties involved. It was a pleasure to work with the Core Fulfilment team and their advisers to successfully complete the deal. This acquisition creates a compelling platform for future growth and reflects the strength of the business that Paul, Jeremy and the team have built.”
The Kuits team was led by Kate Gledhill and Kirsti Pinnell, with cross team support from Hannah James, Tyler Ross, Faye Astin and James Tong.
