Kuits’ Head of Employment, Kevin McKenna and Senior Associate, Rebecca Ingram have both been shortlisted for the Legal 500 Northern Powerhouse Awards.
Manchester commercial law firm, Kuits, is delighted to announce that two of its lawyers have been shortlisted for the Legal 500 Northern Powerhouse Awards.
The awards recognise the lawyers who are ‘setting the pace’ in the region and the shortlist has been determined by the extensive research undertaken for the annual UK Solicitors guide.
Lawyer of the Year (Employment)
Kevin McKenna, Partner and Head of Employment Law has been shortlisted for Lawyer of the Year. Kevin joined Kuits in 2013 and advises on all aspects of employment law. He has worked extensively in the private sector and has significant experience of senior executive and complex terminations, restrictive covenants and High Court enforcement, constructive and unfair dismissal claims, discrimination and large-scale redundancy. The Legal 500 2023 edition stated, “Kevin McKenna leads the team by example and sets its ethos. He is particularly focused on the entrepreneurial sector, providing a fantastic service to SME’s and owner-managed businesses in the North West.”
Rising Star (Licensing)
Rebecca Ingram, Senior Associate, in Kuits’ Licensing team has been shortlisted for the Rising Star Award. Rebecca also joined Kuits in 2013 and advises on all aspects of alcohol and entertainment licensing for pubs, bars, restaurants, large event spaces, festivals and developments. She has also developed a specialism for gaining licences for high-end brands in areas with cumulative impact zones. One client described Kuits’ licensing team to Legal 500 researchers as; “Real quality and experience throughout the licensing team. Exceptional industry knowledge and relationships with local authorities, particularly in the North West.”
