25th November 2026 17:00 pm - 19:00 pm Kuits Solicitors, Blackfriars House, Manchester
Our special guest at the next The Bold and The Brave event on the 25th November will be William Lees-Jones, Chief Executive of family brewer JW Lees, who in recent years has taken the family-owned brewer to new heights, mourned the loss of his brother Simon, and continued to be a vociferous advocate for family businesses over tax changes proposed by the Labour government.
As the sixth-generation leader of the brewing, hotels and pubs business, William Lees-Jones achieved record sales of £105.6 million and a record profit before tax of £8.8 million in the year to the end of March 2026. But that success hasn’t blunted his campaigning edge, as he also said, “Brewing and hospitality are tough sectors right now, and we continue to be impacted by above-inflation rises in labour rates, high business rates and little or no useful support from Government.”
Held in an intimate and friendly open space, these events are the best of business, unplugged and honest. Will Lees-Jones will be in conversation with TheBusinessDesk.com editor Michael Taylor.
To come and hear Will’s remarkable story, register NOW. We expect demand for places to be high. So, please register early to avoid disappointment.
