Sam is a Partner in the Banking and Real Estate Finance department.
Sam is a banking and real estate finance lawyer who works with mainstream, bridging, and private lenders on secured lending across residential, commercial, and development property.
He’s particularly experienced in short-term and bridging finance, helping lenders structure deals and prepare tailored loan and sub-security documents that fit the transaction.
Sam regularly supports clients through complex property finance matters, ensuring robust legal frameworks are in place to protect their interests. He also advises individuals who are asked to give personal guarantees, offering practical guidance on what they’re signing and what it means.
He works closely with our litigation team on loan recoveries, receiverships, and distressed sales, acting for lenders and receivers when things get contentious.
With a strong focus on secured lending, Sam helps clients navigate the legal complexities of short-term finance and property-backed lending.
