Areas of expertise

Before joining Kuits, James specialised in international litigation within the energy, marine, and natural resources sector, handling cases related to freight claims, charter party and bill of lading disputes, vessel collisions, and policy coverage. He represented major insurance and shipping companies.

James also has experience in the property insurance litigation sector, managing cases involving commercial property damage claims, property reinsurance, self-insurance and policy coverage advice. He has successfully represented panel insurance companies and private clients.

Currently, James is involved in a variety of transactional work, including development plot sales, large refinances, redemptions, residential sales and purchases.
