Clair is a senior associate in our banking & real estate finance team. She advises mainstream banks, bridging lenders, and challenger banks on secured lending transactions delivering investment and development financing for property acquisitions and refinances. Clair specialises in property due diligence, including complex title investigations and the preparation of Certificates of Title for residential and commercial properties, as well as development land.
Her experience spans technical transactions, including drafting bespoke security documentation tailored to lender and transaction requirements. Clair also advises lenders on structuring deals involving offshore borrowers, trusts, and complex group company structures. She frequently collaborates across the firm, working closely with our construction team on development finance matters and with our corporate team on share purchase transactions.
Clair is trusted by clients for her ability to manage large transactions, including multi-asset portfolios, under demanding timescales, with her commitment to delivering a high level of service enabling her to build strong, lasting relationships with clients and contacts. Whether anticipating and resolving complex deal structures or tailoring her advice to the specifics of each transaction, Clair provides commercially focused advice with a clear understanding of clients’ strategic and operational priorities.
Clair also has experience in carrying out security reviews and assisting with insolvency matters alongside the firm’s recoveries team.
Having progressed through the Firm, Clair plays an active role in supporting the career development of trainees and junior lawyers. She is also a member of the firm’s Environmental Impact Committee.
