Kuits secure extended opening hours for Revolution Bar

21st October 2025

The licensing team at Kuits recently secured an extended licence for Revolution Bar in Brighton, allowing the venue to remain open until 4am on weekends.

Despite opposition from Sussex Police and Brighton and Hove Council acting as Licensing Authority, Kuits’ licensing team presented a strong case demonstrating Revolution’s commitment to responsible management, community engagement and compliance with all regulatory requirements. The team’s comprehensive approach included collating evidence of effective operational procedures, consulting with local stakeholders, and proposing additional measures to address specific concerns. Their expertise was instrumental in persuading the licensing panel to grant the extended hours, marking a significant win for both Revolution and the Brighton hospitality sector. The extended licence is set to enhance the city’s night-time economy by providing more options for residents and visitors seeking safe, regulated entertainment after hours.

Rebecca Lowe, Licensing Partner at Kuits, commented: “We are delighted to have achieved this positive result for The Revel Collective. Our team is committed to supporting hospitality businesses and ensuring their continued success, even when faced with tough opposition. We look forward to seeing the venue thrive under its new hours.”
