Kuits advises The Ivy's Former Head Chef on second Fish and Chip Shop opening in the City09 Oct 2014
Manchester law firm Kuits Solicitors has advised Des McDonald, the former chief executive of Caprice Holdings – the company behind prestigious London restaurants The Ivy and Le Caprice – on the opening of his second Fish & Chip Shop offering in London.
Following the opening of the first Fish & Chip Shop in Islington last year, McDonald is scaling up his venture with the launch of a second outlet at Dashwood House on Old Broad Street, London on 15th October 2014.
Guests at the new restaurant and bar will be able to enjoy lunch, dinner or drinks, choosing from a menu filled with signature dishes with a few twists, and a bar stocked with cocktails, wines and craft beers. The venue will also boast an al fresco terrace for long lunches, along with a takeaway window.
McDonald, former head chef at The Ivy, also owns Bar-b-q concept brand Q Grill, of which the first outlet opened in March this year. Following on from its success he launched On the Roof with Q, a pop-up roof top restaurant at Selfridges over the summer. He has now created another roof-top concept for the winter season; Le Chalet which will open 22nd October.
Anthony Lyons, head of Kuits’ licensing team, commented:
“We are delighted to have worked with Des on his latest business venture and, having spent the last twenty years building a reputation not only as a world-class chef, but an experienced entrepreneur, we are confident he will enjoy every success.”
The new site has already begun taking bookings, ready for the launch.
Those wanting an exclusive preview can enjoy a 50%-off food soft-launch offer on 13th and 14th October.
