Kuits advises EQL on Connect Health deal extension

23rd August 2023

Manchester commercial law firm Kuits has advised EQL in respect of the extension of its existing relationship with national c provider, Connect Health; who are one of the biggest suppliers to the NHS of physiotherapy relating to musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions.

Connect Health and EQL have worked in partnership to develop a digital triage support solution, PhysioNow, powered by EQL’s Phio application, which supports patients in obtaining assessment of their MSK condition without the need for a face to face appointment.  The solution guides users to the appropriate pathways, providing immediate remote access to physiotherapy, treatment and advice and helping alleviate pressures upon healthcare professionals and ensure patients receive treatment for their conditions as quickly as possible.

Kuits advised EQL on the initial partnership between EQL and Connect and, more recently, on the extension of the agreement, which will enable further continuous development of EQL’s Phio solutions for the benefit of Connect Health’s patients.

Rob Buckley, Head of Corporate & Commercial at Kuits commented; “Digitisation of the MSK triage and treatment process is key in alleviating the current pressures being faced by the country’s healthcare systems, particularly in the NHS. We are delighted to continue to support EQL in its ongoing growth journey and the extension of its ongoing relationship with Connect Health, which is a key part of that growth, particularly in the NHS market.”
