Head of Licensing for Manchester commercial law firm Kuits, Tony Lyons, has been invited as an expert witness to the House of Lords as they review the impact of licensing laws on the night-time economy next week.
The House of Lords Select Committee will examine the Licensing Act 2003 and ask whether licensing and planning regimes should be merged, as well as how to strike a balance between the interests of the night-time economy with the impact on local residents.
The discussion will also cover the impact of the Night Tube on London and whether pre-loading lead to crime and disorder.
Tony will act as an expert witness to the Lords as one of the Committee’s chosen specialists.
