Kuits shortlisted for Business Masters Awards

28 Feb 2017

Kuits has been named as a finalist in the Professional Services category for TheBusinessDesk’s Business Masters Awards 2017.

The awards celebrate the leading businesses from around the North West. Kuits is the only law firm recognised in the category, which it shares with Grant Thornton, CVS, Dow Schofield Watts and Seneca Partners.

The news comes after a successful few months for the firm, having achieved three short-listings for Best Young Lawyer at the Made in Manchester Awards in February – Kuits had more lawyers listed than any other firm in the category – securing a slot as a finalist at the Manchester Legal Awards for Private Client Team of the Year in January, as well as a Best Law Firm win at The Talk of Manchester Business Awards in December last year.

Managing partner, Steve Eccleston, commented: “We’re delighted to have been recognised by TheBusinessDesk for our achievements over the past 12 months, especially in light of the fact that this year saw a record number of entries.

“Our submission highlighted our reputation for the quality of our advice and thought leadership (which is due to the quality and dedication of our people), our investment in the Manchester community, and our high client retention rate, which has supported organic, continued growth in recent years.”

TheBusinessDesk editor, Joanne Birtwistle, said: “It was a tough judging session, with the quality and volume of entries making it difficult to narrow down to a shortlist. In every category there were businesses that would have made the shortlist in previous years that have missed out.

“The shortlisted businesses gave compelling reasons to be chosen, demonstrating growth, innovation and a passion for what they do.”

The independent judges making the final decision are: Victoria Molyneux, founder of WantThatTrend.com; Tim Kowalski, FD at Findel plc; Steve Oliver, co-founder and CEO of musicMagpie; Robert Hough CBE, director at Peel Holdings; and Paul Griffith, chairman at The Monastery Manchester.

The winners will be announced at an awards dinner at The Midland Hotel on Thursday 6th April, in front of an audience of the region’s key businesses, influencers and decision-makers.
