Kuits recognises budding legal talent with promotion of five rising stars01 Aug 2017
Manchester commercial law firm Kuits has today announced the promotion of five of its most promising lawyers.
The news comes a fortnight after the firm’s announcement that it had increased its turnover by 5.6% year-on-year and made three partner promotions.
Meave O’Neill of the firm’s banking team has been promoted to senior associate, while Rebecca Ingram of licensing, Claire Heron of residential conveyancing, and Yasmin Kalantari and Humna Nadim of intellectual property – who were both shortlisted for Lawyer of the Year at the Made in Manchester Awards 2016 – have all been promoted to associate.
Steve Eccleston, Managing Partner for Kuits, said: “It is an increasingly tough market out there for law firms, but we are successfully differentiating ourselves from the pack by providing trusted commercial advice on legal issues to SMEs and entrepreneurs – these are the businesses that really benefit from our commercial advice, as well as our technical legal expertise, and we’ve been very focused in ‘sticking to our knitting’ in this sense.
“That we are able to offer this level of service and advice is entirely dependent on recruiting and retaining the best people, so we take the development of our talent very seriously, with plenty of training opportunities, and focused development and recognition programmes.
“We are delighted to recognise the achievements of these five individuals over the last 12 months, and we are equally delighted that they continue to feel that Kuits is a firm in which they can build challenging yet rewarding careers.”
