Kuits expands into new office18 Feb 2016
Manchester commercial law firm Kuits has taken an additional 3,800 sq ft of space in Blackfriars House, Parsonage, to support its continued growth.
The new space, which is a two-minute walk from the firm’s existing office, has been fitted-out as a meetings and conferencing suite. The state-of-the-art suite will house all of the firm’s client meetings and seminars. Clients will be able to enjoy a comfortable and welcoming lounge area, with complimentary refreshments, smart TVs, and work areas with free Wi-Fi and charging equipment.
The space within Blackfriars House will free-up the ground floor of the firm’s existing office building, enabling this space to be converted into offices. This additional office space will support the growth of the firm generally and, in particular, the corporate and commercial team.
Steve Eccleston, Managing Partner of Kuits, commented: “Over the last 12 months, we have recruited an additional ten lawyers and 15 business staff to support our increasing caseload and new clients. During this time, our fee income has increased by 16% in comparison with the previous 12 months. This growth has come as a result of our focus on client service and fulfilling the role of trusted advisors to our clients.
“It was essential that we took additional space as we have outgrown our existing building. However, it was equally important to us that we found the right space and fitted it out to a high specification, so that we could provide our clients with an exceptional environment where they can not only meet our lawyers, but also one another – or just catch up on some work.
“We have been delighted with the robust and comprehensive service provided by OBI Property, who have taken care of everything from handling our office search to negotiating our lease terms, and designing and project-managing a wonderful fit-out.
“We have been familiar with the style and general fit-out of Blackfriars House for a while as Manchester International Festival, for which Kuits has been a corporate supporter for the last six years, also has offices in Blackfriars House.
“We look forward to welcoming our clients into our new space.”
Mike Millward, Building Consultancy Lead of OBI Property, commented: “It was a fantastic opportunity and a pleasure to work so closely with the team at Kuits throughout the whole design stage and through to completion on-site. Kuits had a clear vision for the type of fit-out they wanted and their appreciation of OBI’s services and expertise allowed us to work seamlessly to deliver a stylish and contemporary project on programme and within budget”.
