Steven is a dual-qualified associate within the Construction, Engineering and Energy team.
Areas of Expertise
Steven has experience in a wide variety of construction, regeneration and energy projects, including the construction of a new £130m arts venue in Castlefield, a number of high-profile transport projects throughout Greater Manchester, and a £20m project to create a low carbon energy centre and heating network in Manchester City Centre.
Acting on behalf of contractors, developers and funders, as well as public sector clients, he is able to draft and advise upon all forms of construction and engineering contracts and ancillary documentation, and can provide advice in respect of both construction procurement and public sector procurement strategies. Steven also has experience in a number of construction dispute resolution and litigation matters.
Prior to specialising as a construction lawyer, Steven practiced in the regulatory sector for eight years, where he was recognised as a ‘Leader in the Field’ in Chambers & Partners. His clients recognise him as “an astute solicitor”, as well as being “conscientious, diligent and extremely hard working”.

Performing – Steven spent a number of years as a professional singer and actor, having trained at the Royal Academy of Music in London, and can still occasionally be seen treading the boards at his local theatre.
