Associate Madelaine’s practice predominantly comprises contested financial matters, for both divorcing and cohabiting couples, and wealth protection by way of pre/post nuptial agreements and cohabitation agreements. Madelaine also deals with private law children matters, including international relocation and Hague Convention proceedings, and has a niche practice acting for intended parents in surrogacy arrangements.
In 2019 Madelaine become a Resolution Accredited Specialist in the practice areas of Cohabitation and Complex Financial Remedies (mid-high net worth) – an accolade awarded to individuals who have demonstrated excellence in their chosen specialist areas and family law practice generally.
Having returned from maternity leave in summer 2019 Madelaine has quickly re-established herself in the market and has been appointed to the Manchester Area Committee for Resolution.
Madelaine has delivered training to private banks in relation to pre and post nuptial agreements within the wider context of family business succession and wealth protection and works closely with the firm’s top ranked tax and private client team, as well as third party referrers, to ensure that clients’ financial needs and priorities are considered and protected from all angles.
