Kuits retains leading status in Legal 500 and Chambers rankings

27 Nov 2015

Manchester commercial law firm Kuits has again performed well in The Legal 500 and Chambers UK Guide.

Kuits was the only firm in the North West to pick up the highest possible ranking in Legal 500 for its licensing department. Department head, partner Tony Lyons, also retained his elite Leading Lawyer status, the highest level of recognition awarded to individuals by Legal 500, and was praised by his clients for ‘always finding the best solution possible.’

In addition, the head of the corporate and commercial team, Rob Buckley, joins Tony Lyons as a Leading Lawyer in the standings, with the department moving up to Tier 3 this year.

Sixteen others have also been selected for spots on the Recommended Lawyers list and the firm was highlighted for being ‘responsive, creative and technically superior’.

Kuits now ranks in 11 other core practice areas alongside licensing and corporate & commercial in The Legal 500, spanning commercial litigation, banking and finance, employment, employee/union firms, charities and not-for-profit, contentious trusts and probate, family, commercial property, property litigation, intellectual property, and personal tax, trusts and probate.

In the Chambers UK Guide, both Rob Buckley and executive partner Robert Levy have gained the top Band 1 ranking for their work in the field of corporate mergers and acquisitions for SME/owner-managed businesses in the North West. Six other partners have also been awarded ranked lawyer status and the firm has placed in a further five practice areas.

Commendation for Kuits from clients interviewed by Chambers highlighted the firm’s ‘customer focused, technically reliable and good value for money’ services, as well as its ‘very approachable’, ‘flexible’ and ‘caring’ attitude.

Robert Levy, executive partner at Kuits, commented: “We are proud to once again have been recognised by The Legal 500 and UK Chambers Guide as a top law firm in the North West. It’s great to see our hard work being rewarded with such standings from these prestigious organisations, but more importantly to receive the great feedback we have from our clients.”

The Legal 500 UK annual ranking is based on feedback from 250,000 clients worldwide, submissions from law firms and interviews with leading private practice lawyers, and a team of researchers with experience in the legal market.

The Chambers Guides rank both lawyers and law firms based on the research of 150 full-time editors and researchers, who conduct thorough client interviews in order to gauge the quality of legal services provided.
