Kuits bolsters commercial offering with arrival of new faces04 Jun 2018
Manchester law firm Kuits has strengthened its commercial teams with a number of senior and junior hires.
Sandra Crichton and Caroline Brennan have joined as senior associates in the firm’s growing corporate and commercial team.
Sandra specialises in corporate mergers and acquisitions, reorganisations and joint ventures, with over 20 years’ experience gained in positions with Eaton Smith, Glaisyers Solicitors and Beyond Corporate.
Caroline was recruited from Shoosmiths, where she specialised in commercial and IP work and brings with her a wealth of commercial experience, having also previously worked in-house as legal counsel at Manchester United Football Club.
Senior Associate Steve Jackson and solicitor Lauren Cunningham also join the firm’s commercial property department.
Steve joins after two decades with Lancashire-based Southerns Solicitors and brings extensive knowledge of the commercial landlord and tenant sector.
Lauren arrives from Blunts Solicitors in Macclesfield, bringing with her a key understanding of commercial landlord and tenant work and experience in the sale and purchase of commercial premises.
Kuits’ growing residential property department, a finalist for the national Law Society’s Excellence in Conveyancing award this year, has also been enhanced with the arrival of three new paralegals into the team: Stephen Sowah, Abigail Wilson and Anita Zaborniak. The team specialises in servicing high-net-worth individuals and residential developers.
Steve Eccleston, Kuits’ Managing Partner, said: “Life for an SME in the UK is becoming increasingly complex and it is therefore essential we continue to strengthen our team in order to help our clients drive growth.
“Our strategy has always been to attract the best calibre of commercial advisers. These appointments bring a variety of experience and reinforce our commitment to providing excellent commercial advice alongside trusted client service. It’s a pleasure to welcome them to the firm.”
