Manchester law firm Kuits has been awarded a North West Top-Tier Firm recommendation in the Legal 500 UK 2014 rankings, as well as gaining recommendations in ten other core practice areas and for 19 of its individuals.
Once more, Kuits was the only firm in the North West to pick up the highest possible ranking for its licensing department, which is headed up by partner Anthony Lyons. Lyons was also awarded elite Leading Lawyer status and praised for offering ‘sound advice’ that is ‘always technically correct’.
The firm received recommendations in 10 other of its key practice areas, including corporate and commercial, commercial litigation, commercial property, intellectual property, and three separate private client areas, and was praised for its ability to offer expert advice in a ‘very commercial context’.
Acclaim for Kuits’ commercial offering continued, with its corporate and commercial team noted for its expertise in advising SMEs and family-owned businesses, as well as its robust experience in the healthcare and retail sectors. Head of department Robert Buckley was praised for his ‘critical thinking’ and ‘pragmatic approach’, while partner Kirsti Pinnell was commended for her particular experience in advising public companies on corporate matters.
The Legal 500 UK annual rankings highlight the practice area teams providing the most cutting edge and innovative advice to corporate counsel. Its research is based on feedback from 250,000 clients worldwide, submissions from law firms and interviews with leading private practice lawyers, and a team of researchers who have unrivalled experience in the legal market.
Robert Levy, Executive Partner for Kuits, commented: “We are delighted to have been named a top-tier firm in the Legal 500 UK rankings once again this year, and to have performed so well across the board.
