Self Employment Income Support Scheme Grant

The government has announced that those individuals who are self-employed and/or a member of a partnership and have been adversely affected by Covid-19 can claim a grant through the Self-Employment Income Support Scheme. This is an initial taxable grant which will be provided to those who are currently eligible for SEISS and who are continuing to trade but are facing a reduction in workload.

Details of the grant:

  • First initial grant is paid as a lump sum to cover from November 2020 to January 2021.
  • The second grant is paid as a lump sum to cover from February 2021 to April 2021.
  • The initial taxable grant will cover 20% of average monthly trading profits. The grant is capped at £1,875.00 total.
  • The level of the second grant will be reviewed by the Government in due course.

N.B: The grants are subject to Income Tax and National Insurance Contributions.
