A new business event series will explore the life stories and challenges of some of our most inspirational business leaders.

On the 10th of July we will be talking to Joshi Herrmann, founder of The Mill, a Manchester-based media disruptor which has raised £350,000 from a group of supporters, including Sir Mark Thompson, the former director general of the BBC and now the CEO of CNN.

The investment valued the business at £1.85m, but gave him capital to expand to other cities.

The Mill’s prominent stories have included an investigation into an Arts Council grant paid to Sacha Lord, which led to Lord’s resignation as Night Time Economy Adviser to Andy Burnham.

Joshi will be in conversation with Michael Taylor, editor of TheBusinessDesk.com.
