As highlighted in the latest edition of Legal Writes new laws outlawing discrimination on the grounds of age come into force on
1 October 2006.

Employees will no longer be able to use age as a factor in deciding who to offer a job to, who to promote or train, how to pay people or how they decide when and why to dismiss somebody.

Employees need to be aware of the exceptions and pitfalls to avoid litigation and substantial penalties.

Our practical, user friendly seminar will describe the changes and how they will impact on your employment policies, highlighting what areas need to be focused on in the lead up to the introduction of the new laws. The aim is to educate and train managers and those involved in recruitment, promotion and termination decisions on the key provisions and likely pitfalls.
