MEN - Kuits Pitches in for Testimonial
04-Aug-2011 Kuits Solicitors has helped with the arrangements for former Manchester United and England player Paul Scholes' testimonial game tomorrow (August 5).The match will feature United stars taking on the revived New York Cosmos, which will see the return of Eric Cantona to Old Trafford in his role as director of soccer at the US club.
Kuits' corporate partner Rob Buckley and media lawyer Rudi Kidd advised the Paul Scholes Testimonial Committee on the deal with the Cosmos, negotiations to host the game at Old Trafford and the agreement to show it on MUTV.
Mr Buckley, who also advised on Gary Neville's testimonial match featuring David Beckham in May, said: “Paul has been revered by many and, being a Manchester firm, it has been great to advise on the issues surrounding the testimonial to honour his illustrious career.”
Scholes, who has spent his entire career at United, has recently agreed to take on a coaching role at the club.
