16-Jun-2010 Manchester law firm Kuits Solicitors has advised private equity firm First Eastern Investment Group on an Asian joint venture with exclusive handbag and accessory designer Lulu Guinness. Senior Associate Jan Winstanley and James Wall of the Corporate Department at Kuits were instructed by Victor Chu & Co, lawyers for the Hong Kong based First Eastern Investment Group in regard to U.K aspects of the transaction.The joint venture will focus on expanding the Lulu Guinness brand in Asia excluding Japan. Established in 1989, Lulu Guinness sells high-end handbags and other fashion accessories via outlets in Europe, the U.S. and Japan. The First Eastern Investment Group, founded in 1988 by Victor Chu, focuses primarily on investments in mainland China and other parts of Asia.
