Kuits advises York Linings on sale
12-Aug-2011 Manchester law firm Kuits has advised the shareholders of York Linings on the sale of shares to Cape Industrial Services Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Cape plc.York Linings designs and installs refractory linings to furnaces and heating plant of all types. The company serves major industries worldwide where heat, chemical or abrasion resistance materials are used such as in the aluminium, cement, iron and steel, incineration, petro chemicals, power generation and mineral processing industries. With headquarters in York the company employs around 90 people.
Cape plc provides non-mechanical industrial services to the energy and mineral resources sectors. Martin May, CEO of Cape commented, “"The acquisition of York Linings is consistent with our strategy of increasing Cape's service offering with selective bolt on acquisitions. York Linings has an unparalleled delivery reputation in the market and we are delighted to welcome the York Linings team into the Cape Group."
