Kuits Advises BrewDog on Camden Opening

19-Dec-2011

Manchester law firm Kuits Solicitors has advised Scottish brewer BrewDog on the opening of their first site in England.

Anthony Lyons and Felicity Harris-Knott of the licensing team at Kuits obtained the premises licence for Bayham Street in Camden, London.

Established in 2007 BrewDog is now the largest independent brewer in Scotland and also operates bars in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen. Camden is BrewDog’s fourth UK site, however the company has big plans to continue its growth across major cities in England over the next year.

Anthony Lyons, licensing partner at Kuits commented, “BrewDog is a company which excites us. They have established a simple craft beer concept which differentiates them within the traditional pub and bar market place. We wish them every success with their launch in Camden and look forward to working with them on their continued growth across England.”

Anthony continued, “We are delighted to obtain this licence as we had to fight hard against Camden’s existing policy to restrict new licences in the area.”
