Triple partner promotion at Kuits following year of growth01 Aug 2017
Manchester commercial law firm Kuits has announced the promotion of three partners, following a close to its financial year that saw its turnover increase by 5.6%.
Jan Winstanley of the corporate team, which has grown its turnover by 52% in the last three years, was promoted alongside Paul Bricknell and Lauren Clyne of the firm’s private client team, which won Highly Commended at the Manchester Legal Awards in March.
Jan specialises in complex corporate reorganisations, acting for both lenders and borrowers. Her work this year has included advising Allied Irish Bank in relation to its funding of the management buyout of City Air Express.
Paul has been recognised for his work with family businesses, particularly in the area of succession planning and wealth protection, while Lauren has played an integral role in guiding clients through the myriad of regulatory changes to hit the tax and probate arena this year.
Steve Eccleston, Managing Partner of Kuits, said: “We are delighted to recognise those that strive to provide the best legal and commercial advice to our client base of SMEs and entrepreneurs, and in doing so help them to protect and grow their own businesses.
“Jan, Paul and Lauren all work to develop strong, trusted relationships with their clients and consistently go the extra mile to achieve fantastic results. I know that their colleagues and clients alike will join me in congratulating them on their well-deserved promotions.”
In addition to hitting its growth target, other highlights for Kuits this year include being crowned winner of the Best Professional Services Firm award at TheBusinessDesk’s Business Masters 2017 and Best Law Firm at The Talk of Manchester Business Awards in December.
